Legal
Terms of Use
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Infold mobile application and website at https://infold.org (together, the “Service”). By creating an account or using Infold, you agree to these Terms.
The Service
Infold provides educational lesson cards about artificial intelligence and related topics. Content is for general learning and information only. It is not professional, legal, medical, or investment advice, and it is not a substitute for your own judgment when using AI tools.
Accounts
You must provide accurate registration information and keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use Infold. If you are under the age of digital consent in your country, a parent or guardian must agree to these Terms on your behalf where required.
Free and Pro plans
Free accounts may view a limited number of new lesson cards per day. Infold Pro removes that daily limit (or otherwise unlocks paid features we describe in the app). We may change free limits or Pro benefits with reasonable notice where required.
Subscriptions and billing
Paid subscriptions are purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play and are subject to those stores’ payment terms. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID or Google account at confirmation of purchase.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store or Google Play account settings after purchase.
- Deleting the Infold app does not cancel a subscription by itself.
Refund requests are handled by Apple or Google according to their policies. We use RevenueCat to help manage subscription status with our servers.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Misuse the Service, attempt unauthorized access, or disrupt our systems
- Scrape, copy, or redistribute lesson content at scale without permission
- Create accounts by automated means or share accounts in a way that abuses free limits
- Use Infold for unlawful purposes
Intellectual property
Infold, including lesson text, branding, and software, is owned by us or our licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your own learning. You may not copy or commercialize our content except as allowed by law or with our written permission.
Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use personal information. By using the Service, you also acknowledge that policy.
Availability and changes
We may update, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service, including maintenance windows and force-update requirements for older app versions. We may change these Terms. The “Last updated” date will change when we do. If a change is material, we will provide notice where reasonable. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
Disclaimer
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. AI topics change quickly; lesson content may become outdated.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Infold and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us for Infold Pro in the 12 months before the claim or (b) €50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, the limitation applies to the maximum extent allowed.
Termination
You may stop using Infold at any time and may request account deletion by contacting hello@infold.org or using in-app deletion when available. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or abuse the Service. Provisions that by nature should survive termination will survive.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany, excluding conflict-of-law rules, unless mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence require otherwise. Courts in Germany shall have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory rights you have as a consumer to bring claims in your local courts.
