Privacy Policy
Infold (“we”, “us”, or “our”) provides a mobile app and website that help people learn about AI through short lesson cards. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Who we are
The service is operated under the Infold brand at https://infold.org. For privacy questions, email hello@infold.org.
Information we collect
Account information
When you create an account we collect your name and email address. You sign in with a one-time code we email to you. We do not ask for or store a password. Sign-in codes are stored only in hashed form for a short time (until they expire or are used), and we do not keep plaintext codes.
Learning activity
We collect information about how you use lesson cards so the product can work as designed, including which lessons you open, how many new cards you view in a day, your streak, and whether your account is Free or Pro.
Purchases
If you buy Infold Pro, payment is processed by Apple or Google through their in-app purchase systems. We use RevenueCat to manage subscriptions and entitlements. We receive confirmation that a purchase or renewal occurred and which account it belongs to. We do not receive your full payment card details.
Device and app information
The app may send technical information needed to run the service, such as app version, platform (iOS or Android), and basic network requests to our servers. We use this for maintenance mode, minimum-version checks, security, and reliability.
Analytics
When analytics is enabled, we may use PostHog to understand product usage (for example app opens, onboarding steps, card views, paywall views, and purchase outcomes). Analytics events are tied to your account where needed to improve the product. You can contact us if you have questions about analytics for your account.
Website
Our website at infold.org is primarily static. Server logs may include standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested, used for security and operations.

Legal bases (EEA/UK)
Where applicable, we process personal data to perform our contract with you (providing the service), based on our legitimate interests (security, product improvement, and operations), and where required to comply with law. If we rely on consent for a specific use, you may withdraw it at any time.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:
- Service providers that help us run Infold (hosting, transactional email for sign-in codes, analytics, and subscription management such as RevenueCat)
- Apple and Google for app distribution and in-app purchases
- Authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security
These parties process data on our behalf or as independent controllers according to their own policies where applicable.
Data retention
We keep account and learning data while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymize personal data associated with it within a reasonable period, except where we must retain limited records for legal, security, accounting, or dispute-resolution purposes (for example subscription records).
Security
We use industry-standard measures such as encrypted transport (HTTPS), hashed one-time sign-in codes, and access controls on our servers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Children
Infold is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact hello@infold.org and we will take appropriate steps.
Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, or to object to certain processing.
- Update your name or email by contacting us (in-app profile editing may be limited in early versions)
- Request account and data deletion by emailing hello@infold.org, or using in-app account deletion when available
- Manage or cancel Pro subscriptions in your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings
We will respond to verified requests within the time required by applicable law.
International transfers
We may process and store information on servers in the European Union or other locations where our providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.
Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of Infold after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.
